Windows 8.1 can be Downloaded Today

Microsoft has officially reported providing downloads for the latest operating system Windows 8.1, starting today, Thursday (27/06/2013). Updates of Windows 8 will be downloaded by users who have Windows 8 operating system on their computers.

The release of Windows 8.1 software touted only a first step of change in Microsoft's operating system ecosystem as a whole. According to rumors, Microsoft will integrate Windows operating systems and Windows Phone into one integrated system.

In Windows 8.1, besides re-use the start menu, Microsoft is also rumored to be bringing Miracast features. Miracast itself is wireless video technology that can synchronize mobile devices and desktop PCs automatically. This feature is also predicted to be included in the upgrade on Windows Phone 8 in the future.

So far, only Google has recorded include Miracast features into the operating system Android Jelly Bean. However, these technologies have not been widely used in other platforms so that its function is not yet optimized.

Although lot of dismantling on this operating system, and has new features, Windows 8.1 seems only counted as updates from Windows 8, not only as a new version of the operating system.
